Fiddle music, Orange blossom special,  Devil went down to Georgia, anything from Leahy and some Natalie McMaster.  There is something about the sound of a fiddle/violin played well.

I could get into a fender bender due to an accident caused by icy conditions.  The benefit?  I could write off my truck then use the money to buy that new car I have my eye on ; ) 

It is a family tradition to get together Christmas eve for a pot luck Turkey supper, have a few drinks, maybe play a few games and have a gift opening.  I look forward to this time with family.

I shiver, then I dress up in warmer clothes and keep adding more clothes depending on how cold it is.

It means up to 6 months of being cold, shoveling snow, high energy/power bills, sliding through intersections until the sand truck comes, slushy mess when the snow melts, wet paw prints on my clean floors from the dogs and having to dress up in boots, big coat and gloves just to get to the truck to go somewhere.

When I was a child I would get my snow suit on and go play in the snow.  The snow was so white and when the sun shone upon it, it was almost blinding.  I'd pick up a hand full of the fresh white snow and eat some, it was so fresh tasting and quenched my thirst for the moment.  My brother would ride by on his snow mobile and the smell of the exhaust ( Read more... )
